Jimmy Wayne Grider left us to be with His Lord on March 9, 2011 after a long battle with leukemia and complications from a stem cell transplant. He was born on June 20, 1942 in Stevenson, AL and passed away peacefully, with his family beside him, at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. At the time of his retirement, "Jim" was a Captain for United Airlines.

New stem cell studies at the University of Maryland Dental School demonstrate that surgeons could one day routinely use strong, moldable, and injectable pastes to regenerate needed bone tissue to repair broken bones, fractures, genetic defects, even combat bone wounds. The studies were presented at the 2009 World Stem Cell Summit in Baltimore, Maryland.
